Bible Study

Last night we were at bible study, and we watched this video. I have no idea who the guy was or what the name of the series was (I had to take an important phone call and was gone while they decided to watch the movie instead of continuing with the book). The guy was talking about how big our universe is. And how small we are in comparison. He put it all into perspective. It was pretty incredible to realize how small we are. And how much God loves all of us, despite how small our world is in comparison to the rest of the universe.

Then he closed by talking to us about laminin. It is essential a "glue" that hold together all of our cells and organs. Ready for a picture of this stuff?!

The "glue" that holds our body together, is in the shape of a Cross. CRAZY! Seriously, only God could design such a thing. God knew, even when our bodies were designed, that Jesus was going to go to the cross for our sins. So he used the image of the cross in our bodies, as the glue that holds us together.

Colossians 1:17 "He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

I never knew how true that was until last night.

Bible Study

John 2:25 He did not need man's testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.

Jim and I have been discussing Who IS Jesus? In our weekly bible study with our pastor, as part of becoming members of Anchor Christian Church.

Last night we talked about how Jesus can see behind our last mask, and he still likes what he sees. How could he not, he sent his only son to die for us. Jesus loves what he see's in all of us, otherwise he wouldn't have died on the cross for our sins.

What an incredible idea! Our savior sees everything about us. All of our wants, our fears, our worries, our joys, our hopes. And he loves us anyways. Enough to send his perfect son to die for us.

Its just incredible to wrap my head around all of this. I've always known it, but to hear it in this way. Its just amazing. I love our church!
