Anger

I'm so annoyed about the way people drive around here! Seriously!! Your lives, and other peoples lives depend on the way you drive. So weaving in and out of lanes, nearly getting in car accidents, and running red lights is putting someone else's life in jeopardy. And I'm pretty sure that God is the only one with the right to decide when someone else is going to die.

I know, personally, I would be absolutely devastated if I hit someone, and there was an injury as a result of me doing something careless or stupid.

Friday afternoon I almost got hit in the tops parking lot. The car was inches from MY door. I had to slam on my breaks so hard that all of the stuff on my back seat came flying off and hit my back. I was so annoyed after that, but praised God that I didn't get hurt, and that the only "injury" was having to separate and sort out two board games that were in my back seat. I went into tops and got what I needed to get, and then proceeded to drive home. In that quarter mile, I got cut off twice, and had to hit my breaks one other time cuz an idiot pulling out of the school parking lot decided the 2 feet between me and the car in front of me was meant for him.

I started thinking about how angry it makes me. We were taught in drivers ed that every time you get behind the wheel of your car, your life is at risk, and anything you do could put someone else's life at risk. I take this responsibility very seriously. I drive extra careful all the time, and if I do speed, I'm in total control of my car, and fully aware of my surroundings.

Driving is a privilege, one that should be taken away from thousands of people. I get so mad when people knowingly do stupid things. And I know I do stupid things once in a while, but again, I'm in total control of my car, and fully aware of my surroundings. I make mistakes, and I feel bad when I do.

But its not my right to hurt someone else. And its not their right to hurt me. Drive like your life depends on it. ok?
