Thankful

In the midst of this craziness, I need to be more thankful. Thankful for all we have, instead of all we are missing.

So- without further ado, some things I am thankful for:

Jim- Of course. He is my biggest support system, my best friend, my husband. I am in constant awe of all God is doing in his life, and in ours. I am so blessed to have a husband who strives constantly for a closer relationship with our Savior.

My family- I seriously couldn't have a better family. My dad, grandma, brothers, sister, sister in law, nephews and niece are amazing. I'm so glad to have such great relationships with all of them. And seeing all of us happy, for the first time in YEARS, is awesome.

Tuesdays and Thursdays with Paige- That little girl is absolutely amazing. I adore her, and hanging out with her. There is nothing like a hug, smile, or laugh from an innocent child to make a bad day better.

My friends- I have some amazing friends. I'm not biased. They really are something special. I am blessed with so many close friends, friends who build me up, and strengthen me, and my relationship with God.

My church- I strive constantly to be closer to God, and more like Jesus. I am so thankful that I have a church family that is so supportive, so loving, and so special. My church is different from any church I've ever belonged to. And I absolutely love it. I love all of them.

New appliances. Jim and I used our tax return and bought a new fridge, stove and dishwasher last weekend(we got crazy good deals at sears! The $$ we saved on the fridge and stove, bought us the dishwasher we weren't planning to get for a while!). They have been installed since Monday. And we absolutely love them. The white brightens up our kitchen a ton, and its nice to have the ice maker/water dispenser in the fridge instead of a huge Britta pitcher in the fridge. Its cool to have things that aren't from the early 1980's. We were able to sell all of our old appliances in one day!

And mostly I am so thankful for the promises in the bible. The following verses have been my mantra lately. Reminding me that no matter what, I am loved. And that God is always here, always loving, always supporting.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Thank you God, for your amazing promises.
