This week in my photography class I had my first critique. The first part of the assignment was to play with slow/fast shutter speeds. My favorite way to play with shutter speed is using running water. I LOVE black and white pictures of running water. I didn't convert these to black and white for this project, but If I was going to put the slow shutter speed one on my wall, I totally would.

The other part of the project was to use a shallow or deep depth of focus. I thought it would be fun to use my nephew and Jim playing pool together at my Dad's house. In one picture I focused more on Michael than the pool table, and in the other more on the balls on the table than on Jim. I think they turned out pretty awesome.

What do you think?
